How to Measure a Slush Machine Hopper Gasket

Slush machine hopper gasket measurement guide showing inside diameter, outside diameter, and height

Use this guide to investigate leaking or sealing problems and compare the original 6.5-inch hopper gasket before ordering a replacement.

Symptoms

  • Liquid or frozen product leaks around the hopper connection.
  • The original gasket is worn, flattened, cracked, stretched, or no longer seals evenly.
  • A replacement gasket is the wrong size, does not fit, or will not remain seated.
  • A sealing issue continues after the hopper and mating surfaces are cleaned.

These symptoms do not prove that the seal is the only cause. Inspect the mating surfaces, shaft or hopper connection, installation position, and surrounding components before replacement.

Compatibility

Compatible with select slushy machines and similarly configured equipment. Do not use brand, appearance, or machine capacity alone to confirm fit.

Confirm the original part's inner diameter, outer diameter, height or thickness, cross-section profile, and installation position before ordering.

Before You Order

A similar appearance does not mean the dimensions are the same. Measure the original gasket before ordering.

  1. Power off the machine and remove the original part for an accurate comparison.
  2. Compare inside diameter, outside diameter, height, profile, and installed position.
  3. Inspect the hopper connection and both sealing surfaces.
  4. If any dimension, profile, or installation detail differs, contact FROZTIVA before ordering.

Installation

  1. Disconnect electrical power and follow the equipment manufacturer's service and sanitation procedures.
  2. Remove the old part and clean the mating surfaces without damaging them.
  3. Install the gasket without stretching, twisting, pinching, or damaging its sealing profile.
  4. Reassemble the hopper evenly and verify a complete seal before returning the machine to service.
  5. Run a controlled test and stop the machine if leakage or abnormal operation remains.

Troubleshooting

Leak continues after replacement

Check for residue, damage, uneven seating, a distorted hopper connection, or a gasket profile that does not match the original.

Gasket will not fit or stay seated

Recheck all three dimensions and the circular profile. Do not stretch an undersized gasket or force an oversized gasket into position.

Seal is uneven

Remove and inspect the gasket for twisting or pinching, then reinstall on clean, undamaged mating surfaces.

FAQ

Is this part universal?

No. It is compatible with select machines only. Confirm the dimensions, profile, structure, and installation position.

Does replacing this part fix every leak?

No. Leakage can also come from worn mating surfaces, shaft or hopper damage, incorrect installation, or another component.

What should I send for fitment help?
